Alligators are carnivores that inhabit wide waters, such as lakes, swamps and rivers. Its English name alligator comes from Spanish. The name was given by early Spanish explorers and settlers in Florida.
Now there are two kinds of alligators: American alligator (Mihe alligator) and Chinese alligator. The shape of Chinese alligator is similar to that of American alligator, but smaller than American alligator. Its body length is generally less than 1.5 meters, and its body is black with some dim yellow marks.
