June bug is an insect of the genus phyllophaga of melolonthinae, Scarabaeidae, Coleoptera. It is generally seen on warm spring nights in the northern hemisphere. June bug has a thick body, reddish brown and shiny Coleoptera. Eating leaves and flowers at night sometimes causes serious harm. The larva is called white grub and is about 25 mm long.
June Bug lives in the soil; Cut off the plants from the roots, destroy cereal crops, small grain cereal crops, potatoes and strawberries, and destroy grasslands and pastures. Larvae eat plant roots. The natural enemy is the pyrgota undata, whose larvae eat the golden turtle with gill horns in June. The larvae of June gill angle golden turtle are excellent bait.
