Kale is a cruciferous plant native to Europe. It is a horticultural variety of heading cabbage. The structure and shape are very similar to cabbage, except that the center of kale does not roll into a ball. It is mainly distributed in temperate regions, with different varieties, including ornamental and vegetable.
Kale, like other green leafy vegetables, is rich in antioxidants. This includes β- Carotene, VC, and various flavonoids and polyphenols. It can protect the heart, reduce blood pressure, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antidepressant and anti-cancer effects.
