Sand Dollar is a very flat animal belonging to sea urchins. Related animals include other sea urchins, sea cucumbers and starfish. They live on sandy land along marine waters, especially in shallow coastal waters of the northern hemisphere. The dead was washed to the beach, bleached by the sun, and it looked like a big silver coin.
Sand Dollar has a hard shell. Sand Dollar, which lives on the sand, is often exposed to the sand after ebb tide. After a violent storm, the waves will bring up the dead.
Live Sand Dollar, the surface is covered with very small villous like skin. The coordinated movement of fine fluff makes the sand move along the sea floor. It is said that there are many kinds of Sand Dollar, various colors, green, blue, or purple.
