Snowdrop is a plant of Lycoris family. It has bulblet and linear leaves. The stem of the flower is erect, and there is a drooping bell shaped flower at the top of the stem. The flower is white, with six petals. The petals are divided into inner and outer layers, and the inner and outer layers have three petals respectively. The outer petals are longer and more convex than the inner petals. Anthers 6, anther aperture or short longitudinal crack. The ovary is three locular and the fruit is capsule.
Snowdrop is famous for primrose in Europe, belonging to Narcissus family. At the end of the stem, two or three white flowers droop and bloom in umbels. The shape of the flower is similar to that of Cymbidium, both of which are bell shaped. At the end of the petals, there is a green dot pattern, while emitting a light aroma.
